What Is An Endolift Treatment?

The Endolift laser provides almost surgical results without having to go under the knife.  It’s used to treat mild to moderate skin laxity such as heavy jowling, sagging skin on the neck or loose and wrinkly skin on the abdomen or knees.

Unlike topical laser treatments, the Endolift laser is delivered under the skin, through just one tiny incision point, made by a fine needle.  A flexible fibre is then inserted into the area to be treated and the laser heats and melts fatty deposits, contracting the skin and stimulating collagen production.

What should I expect during my Endolift treatment?

You’ll have local anaesthetic injected into the incision site which will numb the whole treatment area.

A very fine needle – just the same as those used for other injectable skin treatments – will create the incision point before a flexible fibre is inserted under the skin.  This delivers the laser into the fatty deposits.  Your practitioner will move the laser fibre around to thoroughly treat the whole area and the treatment takes about an hour.

If you’ve had other laser treatments before, you’ll be familiar with the snapping or crackling sensation.  Cool air combats the heat of the laser and you may feel a bit of pinching as the laser hits each area.

After your treatment, you’ll be ready to go home straight away.  There is minimal downtime with Endolift laser treatment, just the possibility of a little bruising or reddening which will subside within days.  Any slight swelling should last no longer than two weeks.

Is Endolift suitable for everyone?

Endolift laser treatments are only effective on mild or moderate skin laxity.

It is not advised for use if you are pregnant, have any superficial wounds or abrasions in the treated area, or if you suffer from thrombosis or thrombophlebitis, severe liver or kidney disfunction, are a transplant patient, have any skin cancers or malignancies or have been subjected to long term anticoagulant therapy.

We don’t currently treat the eye area with Endolift laser treatment but we can treat the face from cheeks to upper neck, as well as under the chin, the decolletage, abdomen, waist, knees and arms.

What before or after care should I know about with an Endolift treatment?

Endolift is renowned for producing results with zero to minimal downtime.  Afterwards there may be some reddening or bruising, which will subside in the coming days. At most, any swelling may last up to two weeks and numbness up to 8 weeks.

How soon will I notice results?

The skin will appear immediately tightened and refreshed.  Any redness will reduce quickly and you will find results improve over the coming weeks and months.  The stimulation of collagen production can boost results and fat that has been melted can take up to 3 months to be absorbed and removed by the body.
