What Is Cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis, commonly referred to as fat freezing, is a nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses cold temperature to reduce fat deposits in certain areas of the body. The procedure is designed to reduce localized fat deposits or bulges that do not respond to diet and exercise.

Cryolipolysis, also known as fat freezing involves the non-invasive freezing of body fat to break down fat cells which are then metabolised by the body. This results in a reduction of body fat without damaging surrounding tissue.

Cryolipolysis aesthetic technology is not only able to treat multiple areas in one session, but it is also dramatically more comfortable than existing cryolipolysis treatments! This is thanks to a unique suction method that gradually draws up the fatty tissues, instead of in one forceful go. The eliminated fat cells are then fully eradicated from the body via the natural lymphatic drainage system.  provides proven, visible and lasting results, making you look slimmer and feel great. You’ll see visible results after the very first session!

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE OF CRYOLIPOLYSIS?

1.Body therapist will examine the area and if necessary, will mark out the areas which need to be treated.

2.Areas which can be treated via Cryolipolysis - fat freezing include: Stomach (upper or lower), Love handles / flanks, Inner thighs, Outer thighs, Arms.

3.During treatment, your therapist will place a protective pad on your skin (this will prevent ice burns), the fat freezing vacuum device is then placed on the area you want to have reduced, it will suck the roll or pocket of fat into the vacuumed cup     and the temperature within the cup will be lowered - This causes your fat cells to freeze and subsequently leave the body, with no damage to any other cells.

4.The device will remain on your skin for up to 1 hour (depending on area) and multiple areas can be frozen at the same time or on the same day.

5.Only one treatment is normally required, and the body does take several months to flush out the dead fat cells, results become visible after 8 – 12 weeks*.

FAQ

Does cryolipolysis require anesthesia?

This procedure is done without anesthesia.

What are the risks of cryolipolysis?

The complication rate is low and the satisfaction rate is high. There is a risk of surface irregularities and asymmetry. Patients may not get the result they'd hoped for. Rarely, in less than 1 percent, patients may have paradoxical fat hyperplasia, which is an unexpected increase in the number of fat cells..

What are the results of cryolipolysis?

The injured fat cells are gradually eliminated by the body over four to six months. During that time the fatty bulge decreases in size, with an average fat reduction of about 20 percent.

What are the most common areas treated?

The areas most suited for cryolipolysis treatment are localised and excess fat deposits in areas such as the abdomen, back, hips, inner thighs, buttocks and lower back (saddlebags).
