980 Fat Melting Function
A: For most patients, typically only one treatment is required. The session may last from 60-90 minutes for each area that is treated. Laser lipolysis is also an ideal choice for “touch ups” and revisions.
A: Yaser 980nm is ideal for contouring the abdomen, flanks, thighs, saddlebags, arms, knees, back, bra bulge, and areas of loose or flabby skin.
A: After the anesthesia has worn off, you may feel the aches and pains that follow a vigorous workout. This is unlike in traditional liposuction where a patient feels as if they were run over by a truck. After the treatment, you will have some bruising and / or swelling. We recommend two days of rest following the procedure. You will wear a compression garment for two to three weeks depending on the area that was treated. You can begin exercising two weeks post procedure.
980 Red Blood Function
A: What is a vascular laser and how does it work? A vascular laser delivers a brief burst of light which targets blood vessels in the skin. When this light is absorbed, it causes the blood inside the vessels to solidify (coagulate). Over the next few weeks, the vessel is slowly absorbed by the body.
A: Vascular laser treatment is non-invasive and feels like a series of quick stings, similar to a rubber band flicking on the skin. A sensation of heat that may persist for a few minutes after treatment. Treatments take from just a few minutes to 30 minutes or more depending on the size of the area to be treated.
A: Ablative laser resurfacing can cause various side effects, including: Redness, swelling and itching. Treated skin may be itchy, swollen and red. Redness may be intense and might last for several months
980 Onychomycosis Function
A: While a single treatment may be enough, a series of 3 - 4 treatments, spaced 5 - 6 weeks apart, is recommended to achieve optimal results. As the nails resume healthy growth, they will grow in clear. You will start to see results in 2 - 3 months. Nails grow slowly – the big toenail can take up to a year to grow from bottom to top. While you may not see a significant improvement for several months, you should see a gradual growth of clear nail and achieve complete clearance in about a year.
A: Most clients experience no side effects other than a feeling of warmth during treatment and a mild warming sensation after treatment. However, possible side effects may include a feeling of warmth and/or slight pain during treatment, redness of the treated skin around the nail lasting 24 – 72 hours, slight swelling of the treated skin around the nail lasting 24 – 72 hours, discolouration or burn marks may occur on the nail. In very rare cases, blistering of the treated skin around the nail and scarring of the treated skin around the nail may occur.
A: It is VERY EFFECTIVE. Clinical studies show that the laser kills toenail fungus and promotes clear nail growth with a single treatment in better than 80% of cases. The laser treatment is safe, effective, and most patients improve usually after their first treatment.
A: Number of treatments varies based on the indication, its severity and how the patient’s body reacts to the treatment. Number of treatments can therefore be anywhere between 3 and 15, more in very severe cases.
A: The typical number of treatments per week is between 2 to 5. The therapist sets the number of treatments so that the therapy is the most effective and suitable to the patient’s time options.
A: There are no side-effects to the treatment. There is a possibility of slight redness of the treated area right after the treatment which disappears within several hours after the treatment. As with most physical therapies the patient might feel a temporary worsening of their condition which also disappears within several hours after the treatment.
